Here is a message I received today from Doug Powers in Cleveland
concerning one of our most gracious collectors, Vince Aveni.

Greetings,  It is my very sad obligation and desire to inform you
that Vince Aveni passed away yesterday, September 22, 2006.

While some of you knew Vince marginally, or perhaps by reputation
of being a staunch supporter of theatre organ, and so many other
educational, business, and philanthropic entities, there are some of
you who knew him well, and have enjoyed many visits to experience his
wonderful 4/60 Wurlitzer and many other instruments from the early
20th century.

Yesterday, Vince and Pat Aveni were on their way to enjoy yet another
Ohio State football game, and Vince suffered a fatal heart attack.
There will be a wake at the Aveni residence in Gates Mills, Ohio, this
Tuesday and Wednesday.  The funeral is planned for this upcoming
Thursday.  An obituary and further details will appear in the Cleveland
Plain Dealer on Sunday, September 24th.
