Applying Pouch Sealants
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, After spending more than 200 hours on the pouch sealants
project, I need a little bit of help. What I need to know is the
methods that are used to apply the sealants to the pouches. So,
if you use a pouch sealant, please send me the directions you use
when preparing and applying the sealant.

I've used a number of different ratios of sealant-to-thinner when
it seemed appropriate, and the results I get vary widely. So, to be
fair when comparing the various sealants, I need to know the ratios.
Also, application methods can vary, and the results also vary. So,
I need to know how you determine when 'enough is enough'.

Just telling me that you know by "experience" is useless because it
can't be duplicated or explained to someone without any previous
knowledge or experience. So, please be quite specific.

Lastly, one of the reasons I'm asking for this information is because
three of the sealants I've tested, which are touted as 'standards'
and/or 'widely accepted' have failed moderately strenuous testing,
while others that are far less common have passed the tests with flying
colors.

Musically,
John A Tuttle
