Can Serinettes Teach Song Birds To Sing?

You have to teach a canary to sing?!  I think I learned that from
Ripley's "Believe It Or Not".

I must have missed the initial discussion on this, but the
Hartz Mountain Master Canaries once released a music education LP
('with organ and marimba accompaniment') for birds, copies of which
are available on eBay.  The Master Canaries were featured on any
number of popular recordings and radio shows up to the 1950's, as
were similar groups of competing birds.
