Wooden Dowel Cylinder Mandolin Rail
By Fritz Gellerman

The first mandolin rail I had came from Player Piano Co. After that
I made them.

The next one was made of wood. I cut short pieces of 1/4" wooden
dowel, split them lengthwise and glued them on to a piece of heavy
bellows cloth. The sound was pleasant and much softer than the metal
clips.
