Question To Roll Collectors Specialized In Ragtime
By Benjamin Intartaglia

Dear MMD Members,

I'd like to ask roll collectors specialized in Ragtime music if they
own or if they know the KENTUCKY FOX TROT Metrostyle-Themodist Roll
which is Hand Played by the Composer, E. Vousden.

I'm not sure that this roll is rare, but I'm sure that it's an
excellent Syncopated Ragtime tune. KENTUCKY is a typical Rag Fox Trot
of the 10's. It's been probably composed between 1910 and 1920.
I've bought it on the advice of my good friend, Gilles Monfort, which
is a talented French Stride pianist and colleague. Thanks to a good
luck, I've found it in another's friend roll collection and I've bought
it from him. If anybody wants to have an idea, I can send a tape with
a rough recording of this roll.
