Unusual Music Roll Brand
By Nathan Bello

As I went on a "scavenger" music roll hunt in a few antique shops the
other day, I found some particularly unusual brands which I had never
seen before. In a box along side some fairly common Aeolian, Imperial,
Mel-O-Dee, Vocalstyle, and QRS titles I noticed a bunch of rolls which
apparently had been manufactured by the American Automatic Typewriter
Co. of Chicago. The box labels beard the name "Auto-typist," which
suggests that these rolls were once manufactured by a typewriting
company?

Could anyone expand on this?

Thanks,

Nathan Bello
