PVC-E Glue Diluted with Water

Randolph Herr talks of using PVC-E glue diluted with water.  I have
used this method for the last 20 years.  Here in the UK we have
"Evostik PVA", called "Resin W".  I believe it's the same stuff.

The beauty of it is that this glue doesn't dry completely, remaining
slightly flexible, allowing the timber to move without splitting the
seal.
