Attaching Pneumatics with Adhesive Tape
By Vic Searle

I'm glad to see some reaction to my use of double-sided tape for
attaching pneumatics. Just for fun, I went down to the Mitsukoshi
department store where I used to maintain the Wurlitzer.

When I rebuilt it in 1985, I added a player mechanism contrived for
a 165 band organ roll and wired it into the junction board of the
organ. I checked the pneumatics, and they are in perfect shape, even
having been formed from yellow Polylon. They are all air-tight and
firmly stuck on, but will come off with a little force.

They must have operated millions of times because the organ is played
by the roll machine three times a day, seven days a week, for 20+ years
now. Now that's longevity for you!
