"Plastic Paper" for Music Rolls
By Mike Knudsen

Joseph Raffin's company in Germany has been using some kind of
plastic paper, reputedly white Mylar, for his crank organ rolls for
the last 20 years or so. I have several, and the material is just
about indestructible. You can write on it, though, very handy for
marking tune boundaries and register changes.

If it gets torn, you need to keep your monkey working the crowd and
away from the rolls :-)
