Mechanical Music on TV
By Ralph Schultz

Hello MMD readers: Today I was watching a program from the past
on MeTV called "The Rifleman". On the half-hour show from the 1960s
which was titled "The Horse Trader," out by the horse corral there
was a disc music box playing.

The lid was open and it was very easy to see it was a style no. 11
Regina table top model. I didn't recognize the tune but it definitely
was playing: at one point the bad man went over to it and rapidly
wound it up about six turns so it could keep playing while bad deals
were being made.

I just thought it a point of interest -- where you are going to see
mechanical music next!

Have a great day.
