I'm sure others know a lot more about the subject, but I once passed up
the opportunity to buy a Peter Pan Gramophone, which was about the size
of a 'box brownie' camera, so pretty small.  Probably not what the hero
used in the film, but it's a pretty small machine and very neat the way
everything fits into a pretty small box!
