Refinishing Rosewood
By Ronald Hardwig

I just picked up an old 1875's square grand. I understand that the
piano is made of rosewood but are the legs rosewood too? They look
to be of some other wood that is just darkly stained.

While the piano itself has been refinished the legs need some work and
as such I am asking advice has how to proceed to refinish the legs and
pedal lyre.
