In Deansboro, N.Y., is The Musical Museum, with a nice collection of player piano's and other mechanical music makers, most of which the visitors are allowed to "crank, pump and play" themselves.

I (living in Europe) visited the museum twice, in 1984 and 1987, and found it most interesting.
