Re: Cleaning Escutcheon Plates

The escutcheon plates on the controls in the Ampico drawer (except for the
very early ones) were originally plated with gold.  I was able to have a set
cleaned, plated with 24 k gold, and a protective overcoating applied for
about $130 US.
