Chordephon player

I am familiar with and have plans to build a "V'olion"; this was a violin-imitative instrument developed by the Robert Morton Organ Company to compete with the MiIls Violano Theater instrument, but was intended to be wired into their theater organ consoles. A constantly rotating resined cone was at the center, and long coiled springs of various diameter were pushed into this "bow" by pneumatics. Does this Chordephon sound anything like the V'olion?
