Hi, Will, Jody and List.

There are a tremendous number of folks selling MIDI routing and distribution equipment through ads in ELECTRONIC MUSICIAN magazine. You may want to post the question to [rec.music.makers] or [rec.music.synth] as many of the manufacturers participate in those newsgroups. I also recall seeing fiber-optic repeaters and balanced-line drivers for those applications, too.

FYI: There is an 'Electronic and Computer Music Frequently-Asked Questions document (FAQ)' available at:

ftp://XCF.Berkeley.EDU/pub/misc/netjam/doc/FAQ/ECMFAQ

I read there that Rich Kulawiec (rsk@gynko.circ.upenn.EDU) posts a monthly list of manufacturer contact info to the newsgroups rec.music.makers, rec.music.synth, alt.guitar, and news.answers.
