 [ to plug, in public, Wayne Stahnke's roll inspecting (and editing
 [ program) "view".  If you will send him an e-mail message at

 [ data files to inspect/manupulate.

 [ There are a number of people here who have studied Ampico coding and
 [ have written "converstion" programs to extract MIDI events with the
 [ correct velocity for each note.  I think that conversion from MIDI back
 [ to Ampico format (and other expression piano formats) presents some
 [ interesting challenges.  Conversion in either direction is an area of
 [ continuing reserach and evolution of the programs, so feel free to
 [ jump in.
