Dee,
Agreed, this is what I've been trying to do. Perhaps my spring clamps
are too big. I've been using 1 per valve, over a pair of small scraps
of lumber for protection. I believe my glue mixture is not too thick,
but after getting everything lined up perfect, I set them aside. Half
hour later, I sometimes find the 2 halves have moved slightly, I have
to break them apart again, and start all over. It's possible that my
clamps are too big, exerting too much force.

Hmmmnnnnnnnn........... There's a K-Mart nearby which I'll visit
tomorrow. Should I be looking in 'stationery' or 'hardware'? Any
chance you happen to have a proper name for these clamps, or perhaps a
simple illustration drawn with ASCII characters? I'll bring a valve
with me, and let you know how I make out.
Yet another fine example of the 'Net at its best! Remember when we
wrote a letter to our Bulletin editor, got it published 6-8 weeks
later, and got replys 1-2 weeks after that? My, how times have
changed........ :-)
Regards,
Terry
