Daniel Wilson is misinformed when he says New Zealand has only one
player piano. We are only a small nation but there are some
interesting collections here. Rod Cornelius and Jonathan White each
have collections of significant size, to mention only two - and I'm
mentioning them because as I write they're way above the Pacific Ocean
heading for Chicago, and I hate them.
My other good friend Alan Brehaut has some good stuff as well, and
modesty forbids my mentioning details of my small accumulation of stuff
apart from stating that I have at last count twelve player pianos
including a Red Welte Steinway upright, a Duo-Art PedArt and the
upright Wurlitzer piano forming part of my soon-to-be -MIDI'd theatre
organ.
So watch it, Dan - any more putting-down of New Zealand and I would sic
my pet kangaroo on you, if it wasn't for the fact that kangaroos live
in Australia, not New Zealand, and I'd need to go to a zoo to find one
. . .
Come on down here, folks - we'll show you player pianos !
