Jody has asked how I heard about The Automatic Music Digest and to
introduce myself. I read about the Digest in the MBSI July/August 1996
News Bulletin article "On Line." I had just corrected my password so
that I could receive email and thought I would give it a try. I have
already read the last two weeks of digests and am hooked.
I have taught printing for 34 years in a Los Angeles inner city school.
My music collection ranges from disc and cylinder phonographs to disc
and cylinder phonographs, to player and reproducing pianos, to
nickelodeons and orchestrion, to book, roll, cob, and disc organs, a
calliope, band organ, and Reproduco pipe organ. I am a member of AMICA
and AMICA So. Cal., MBSI and MBSI So. Cal., ATOS and LATOS. I have taken
instruments to the First and Second Annual AMICA Southern California
Chapter Band Organ Festivals.
I have been doing research on Wurlitzer music rolls and have reprinted
quite a few labels for my APP., 150, and Pianino rolls which had missing
or damaged labels.
Thanks for letting me join the group!

[ Ed. Note: Welcome aboard, Jack. It is apparent from your next letter
[ that you are well-acquainted with the Band Organ folks! I'm looking
[ forward to more letters from you. -- Robbie
