Our Own "Virtual Roll/Disk Auction" ?
By Karl Ellison
Most of us seem to collect music records of various types, and would probably like to make available some selections for sale - Steve Harris made us an offer of a lot of 88-note rolls on a recent AMI posting.
Why don't we, as an AMI group, once or twice a year, have our own Virtual Roll/disk Auction amongst ourselves? It might work something like the following: The editor would announce when the next AMI roll/disk auction will occur (be published). We all get our Excel et.al. spreadsheets buffed up and pretty. A week or two before the auction, we submit our spreadsheets/ASCII tables to the editor, who in one special issue, publishes them, or if thats too overwhelming for the Foxtail computer, at least publishes the names of those willing to Email their lists. AMIs role would be to simply facilitate the commencement of this event, leaving inquiries, barganing and international $$$ issues amongst the interested parties.
Any interest?
