I am interested in your project.  I currently have under development,
new Ampico test rolls.  My new rolls are being developed with several
purposes in mind.  First, today's rebuilders are faced with different
problems.  For example, the under capture feature of the Ampico B
amplifier is dependent on the correct spring strength on the trigger
pneumatic.  My new roll(s) will repeatedly test that feature to
properly regulate that spring, which undoubtedly has weakened.

Other tests deal with a more precise regulation of air motor governor
and Ampico A amplifier.

I feel that collectors today are more demanding than the consumers of
1920's, therefore we need better tools to get maximum performance.  I
also plan several very short test rolls instead of one big one.  This
is intended to save the technician time--specific rolls for specific
tests.
