I've been reading with interest the thread re: Audio-Animatronics (tm)(c)
etc., WED Enterprises :) (in case any Disney lawyers are reading this!!)

By coincidence, there's a new book being published today, Oct. 1, titled:

   "Walt Disney Imagineering: A Behind the Dreams Look at Making the Magic"

Wendy Lefkon writes most of the 'official' guides to the Disney Parks,
so this will be an official book as well.  It remains to be seen how
informative it will be, since it will probably highlight all the bright
aspects of the Imagineering craft and reveal only what WED wants us to
know.

Also, there's a Web site which has quite a lot on the early days of
Disney\WED Audio-Animatronics and the technical side of how it was done
in the beginning:

•This is provided by a publication called "Persistence of Vision", which
documents the Disney parks and culture.

The 'alt' groups cover opinions\facts\rumors about Disney and Disney
Culture .. the good and the bad .. so don't visit unless you like to

wanted to know!
