Re: Electronic Piano Tuners
By Joyce Brite

I enjoyed Doug Rhodes' comments on human hearing versus electronic piano tuners. I've been resisting saying anything because I thought I was the only one who preferred human tuners. I'm glad to know I'm not alone!

The man who has tuned our family's pianos and others around town for many years uses only his hearing and no electronic tuner. He does excellent work and has many repeat customers. He is also blind.

I've heard that when a person loses one sense, the remaining senses become sharper to make up for the loss. His sense of hearing is probably keener than most people's. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Regards,
Joyce Brite
