Re: Simplex Valve Question
By Brett Mohr

Frist I would like to thank all for the tips on hot glue removal and to
tell the tip that Doug Adam sent to me direct. He say's " Try brushing
some carpenters glue on the parts where the old hot glue is. Just when
its about dry you can peel it and the old hot glue right off the piece"
I'm going to try them all out to see what works best for me. Ed I also
bought a set of ready made valves for the three tier Simplex and after
about 4 years they still perform well. I did find that I had to scrape
excess glue off the patent leather and trim some of the sponge neoprene
that was not glued on straight. Also some of the stems had to be
reglued for they were to loose. I did not find that fitting a little
loosely in the valve hole hurt the valves performance.
