Hi Group,
Did anyone out there attend the Jasper Sanfilippo Sale of the Century
held on September 1, 1996 in Barrington Hills, Illinois, USA? The
reason that I ask is that the day that I received the MBSI May/June
News Bulletin that carried the ad for the sale I sent a request for
information and bid forms. About three weeks later I realized that I
had received nothing. I then called the number in the ad and got an
answering machine and again requested information and bid forms. A week
or so later I had still recieved nothing. At this point I sent a fax
asking for information and bid forms to the fax number listed in the
ad. About three days before the sale I still had recieved nothing so I
called again. I believe that I spoke to Wolfgang H. Schweppe who was
helping to organize the sale. He said that they were working hard to
get things ready for the sale and that day they were moving the
locomotive out of the carousel building to make room for the
instruments. He said that he was having materials printed that day and
would fax me a set. Today I have still recieved nothing.
Does anyone know if the sale was actually held? Did anyone recieve any
material about the sale or bid forms? If anyone recieved materials
would they be wiling to share them with me? Did anyone attend the sale?
Did anyone buy anything?
Thanks,¶
