Are our readers aware that the Ampico chimney still stands!  Indeed,
while the factory has been converted into small shops, the front of the
place is still graced with the magnificent yellow brick chimney with
vertical red brick letters spelling out AMPICO.

It should be photographed, as I have a feeling that modern society
feels that it is an eyesore, and sooner or later someone will declare
it is unsafe and might topple over and it will be destroyed in the name
of progress.
