Replacement Screws
By Bob and Sonja Lemon

Colin Hinz asked about replacement screws for pianos and players:
American Piano Supply Co. in Clifton, NJ, has the best supply of screws
we've seen anywhere. Phone: 201-777-3600.

They carry slotted wood screws, solid brass, unplated steel, brass plated
steel, and nickel plated steel. These come in oval, round, and flat heads,
and sizes vary from 0x1/4" to 24x6". They also carry hinge screws, oval
and flat head. Screws sized up to 10x2-1/2" are sold in lots of 100.
Larger sizes 12 to 24 may be purchased in lots of ten or more. We have
also purchased some blued steel screws from them. Plain steel screws can
be blued with bluing liquids and touch-up pens, both purchased at gun
supply stores. The screws should be thoroughly cleaned first.
