Re: Sources of Repair Materials
By Bruce Clark

Over the years, I have found Schaff to be very nice people to deal with. They have an 800 number and if you have a particular problem finding the right part, they are more than happy to assist you.

American Piano Supply can have their moments... and that is why I switched to Schaff.

Player Piano Co. is not like it used to be, they have many good things, but a lot have been discontinued, and I have found the quality of their supplies to be inconsistent.

Do any readers know the best source of good pneumatic cloth? Motor cloth? Pump cloth for reproducing pianos? (I used to use Kangaroo hide, but have not been able to find it.) I thought I was buying the best, but after three years, I find what I thought was the best is starting to fail! I am retired now, but I'm trying to supervise a couple of enthusiasts in their restoration efforts.

You may e-mail me directly, but send a copy to the digest as I am sure new readers will benefit from your comments.
