This story may make a lot of the membership wince. As a small boy, my older sisters and I loved to play the player piano, but since we were four children, the family needed the space it occupied. My parents contacted several charities and were told that the piano could only be accepted if it were delivered to their doorstep.
So early one Sunday, with my sisters and I sobbing uncontrollably outside a closed door so we were spared the sight, my father and uncle literally chopped up that wonderful piano.
