I would like to echo John's comments. After I put a home page for Bam-Bam Piano Rolls on the web in November 95, I had similar results:
During 1996, my mailing list tripled and sales quadrupled. 6000
visits were reported at the page. I received new leads via e-mail
every week. Many of these people were not familiar with AMICA or
MBSI, they had found the page by searching for "player piano" in
one of the many search engines.
It is *not* difficult to get on the Web. AOL gives you 10MB of space to hold your web pages (keyword: My Place). If you spend a few hours browsing the tutorials available on the web, you can pick up enough basics to convert a brochure or catalog to HTML in very little time (no programming required).
