Value of Nickelodeons
By Don Teach

Re Value of Nickelodeons. Nice article. A Nelson-Wiggen 5x is not necessarily cheaper than a Seeburg KT. In December a well-known restorer sold a KT for $7500.00 (complete and original). Marty Roenigk sold his Nelson-Wiggen, unrestored but playing, for $12,000 plus. It all depends on who is selling and who is buying. Since activity in the nickelodeon market is mostly sales between individuals and not big dealers (like Hathaway and Bowers were in their day) it is really hard to value a nickelodeon. There probably are not that many sales taking place nationwide. That's my two cents worth.
