Mechanical Music Museums in USA
By Larry Smith

Philippe, that's a good web page, but I'd like to note that the entries for East Coast USA are not entirely right. The "American Museum of Mechanical Music" is no longer operating as such. While owners Marty and Elise Roenigk will show their collection to MBSI members by appointment, they no longer operate as an actual museum.

Also: Musical Wonder House, 18 High St., Wiscasset, Me. 04578, phone (207) 882-7163. They are open from Memorial Day weekend until October-ish. While I can't recommend them for restoration work, they _do_ have an absolutely fabulous collection of musical boxes, reproducing pianos, and early phonographs. Ground level tours are $10, no reservation required, full building tours are $30 (I think) and need reservations.

regards,
Larry Smith
