Focus of MMD

Ken Vinen wrote yesterday that he would like to see the Digest "more focused on the truly important thing -- that being the rescue, restoration and care of mechanical musical instruments."
Here's a longer list of categories which I believe are worth discussing, and which further the enjoyment and advancement of our hobby.
Rebuilding and Restoration, Theory and Practice
Education and Appreciation ("Mechanical Music for the Masses")
Mechanical Music in Society (sociology; music at the fairground)
Preservation ("Inventory of Fair Organs")
Writing & Arranging Music for Mechanical Music Instruments
(It began long before Haydn & Mozart!)
Production of Media (music rolls, computer files, emulation, etc.)
New Technology (Midi adaptations; solenoid pianos)
There are lots and lots of topics which we can explore here in the Digest.
