Brian, If you've never been there before, you'll love the Bound Brook phonograph show. I'm counting the days until April 20th myself. In addition to phonographs, there's everything from music boxes to organettes to monkey organs to player rolls. I always come away with an empty wallet and a full trunk!
Regarding mech. music sites nearby, plan on going to West Orange, NJ to visit the Edison Historic Site (Edison's labs and his home). If you're as much of a phonograph nut as I am, it's equivalent to a pilgrimage to Mecca. West Orange is about a 30-45 minute (or less) drive from Bound Brook. See you at the show!
