Testing With Incense Stick
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, Two comments with regards to using incense sticks to test any part of a player mechanism.

One, if there is a leak, the incense will leave an oily residue on the surface of the material and it will have to be replaced.

Two, use a stethoscope with the 'listening' end removed. I can't even begin to imagine how a customer would react if I took out a stick of arduous incense and lit it in their home. I might as well light a cigarette. Bad taste.

I can guarantee beyond a shadow of a doubt that you will detect even the tiniest of leak quickly and without any smell. (Sorry Sonya, I can't buy it!)

They call me,
Dr. John
