Apollophone Player Piano-Phonograph
By Bill Pohl

The player piano - phonograph that I am familiar with was named
Apollophone. The front of the cabinet, if I remember right was divided
into three sections. The middle being the tracker bar, with the right
side being a door with the turntable behind it and the third was a
simulated door on the left side. There was a crank to wind up the motor,
which was used to power the phonograph or the player roll. There also
were connecting rods to the foot pedals to keep the motor wound during
roll playing. The spring motor also rewound the player roll.

I did not rebuild this unit, but remember that the gear that drove the
phono turntable was made of some king of fibre and was stripped. The
piano did not appear to be any bigger than a regular player piano.
