Re: Ampico Stack Photo

I'm not as expert on these matters as are some of the other list-ers, so
could somebody clarify if the AMPICO stack pictured on the photo page
(http://mmd.foxtail.com/Pictures) is the upper-stack or the lower-stack?
And also, if you please, how do you tell the difference?

Also; I hesitate to add this, because I fear it will open up an old can
of worms, but it was my impression, that the AMPICO factory used only
hot-hide glue in the construction of their stacks.  To my eye, the AMPICO
stack in the photo appears to be authentic, yet held together by some
other kind of cement.

Any comments?
