One quick comment on using a vacuum gage for the Wurlitzer C mentioned in
MMD.  Make sure the reservoir is in line with the pump to spill excess
vacuum and on the pressure pumps make sure the pressure reservoir is tied
to that pump.  Your best bench test is to work the bellows by hand to see
if they are airtight.  You do not need a gauge.  Those pumps without a
reservoir will bury any gauge made.  Those reservoirs have a spill valve
which keep the pump from locking up as well as providing the right amount
of vacuum and pressure.  Let those pumps lock up and you have a real
nightmare.  The vacuum pump spills off excess vacuum rendering the right
amount necessary to play the piano and various other parts.
