FS: Duo-Art Vorsetzer
By Tom Steuer

Several months ago, I offered my Duo-Art Vorsetzer, and while there was
considerable interest, here and abroad, I have not yet sold it. It is
still available, and I would like to sell it.

This instrument is electrically operated, was built for the Tushinsky
family in 1965 by Mel Shores in Los Angeles, and is one of only two
Duo-Art push-up players ever made, at least that I know of. It performs
with full expression from PPP to FFF with soft and sustaining pedaling.

I purchased it from the Tushinsky family 10 years ago, and have been
using it to transfer music from Duo-Art rolls to Disklavier disc, which
it does outstandingly. It is in excellent condition and performs
beautifully. Of course, it also plays 88 note rolls as well, and I have
used it to play Ampico and Welte (Licensee) rolls as well, adding my own
expression. It is ideal for use with a non-player grand or upright.

I also have many Duo-Art, 88-note, and Ampico rolls available, which I am
interested in selling in bulk, possibly in 50 or 100 roll lots.

My asking price on the Vorsetzer is $7,000 and I am now open to
reasonable offers from serious buyers. Thanks,

Tom Steuer
