Shipping Costs
By Jody Kravitz

Michael,
A friend of mine who has shipped a lot of mechanical music stuff
from Europe to the U.S. suggests the following:

Call the "air frieght" departments of American and Quantus
   and ask the following question:

Quote me your lowest per 100# (or 100 kilo) price for
"space available" air frieght from Chicago to Syndey
(or any place they have direct flights). Make sure they
understand that the cargo can be shipped on a "space
       available basis".

The going rate from almost anywhere to the U.S. for this type
of service is about $0.52 / lb, so you may be pleasantly surprised.
You may have to meet certain packaging criteria (size of containers,
   etc).

Please let us know how you make out. I'll put you in touch via phone with
my friend if you need additional help.

Jody
