Using Telnet for Teleconferencing
By Sam Harris

I am for any advancements in our methods of communicating with other
MMD'ers. I would be interested in joining some discussion groups of
interest to me. Is it possible to create our own "chat room"? I have no
idea how they are set up and it might not be feasible, but if we had one
we could possibly have chat sessions on a regular basis.

I would like to mention that I believe if we move in this area that we
should expect at least an edited version of the discussion to be placed
in the digests. I think placing it in the digests is a better solution
than placing it in the archives because of our subscribers who may only
have e-mail and no Internet access.

That was my case when I received all e-mail through Juno. I don't know
about the other Juno subscribers but for the sake of those who have only
e-mail capabilities placing the discussions in the digest would be best
or they would be left out.

I have found a new use for my upright player. When our new son Preston,
age 4 weeks, has colic we clear a place for him on the top and turn it
on. I don't know if it is the sound, vibration or the realization that
he has some strange parents, but his crying stops far a little while,
anyway.

His favorite? "The Old Piano Roll Blues" of course :~) He also likes
"Music Box Dancer"

Have a great day :-))
