Blood Pressure Gauge for Suction Meter
By Darrell Clarke

G'day all. Richard Moody asked:

> I.e. can it be converted?

Yes, I have successfully converted one by drilling the top cap for a
suitable tubing sleeve and putting in a porous washer to help prevent
accidental extraction of the mercury (probably not good for the health
of yourself or the piano!). I also used a trap to be extra sure.

I have found however, that it is a little too coarse for most regulating
jobs and I still prefer the water gauge except for very high suction.
It is quite accurate though and good for a "second opinion".
