Europeans, as I am, will prefer the time between 2100 and 0300 (Time is
MET -- Middle European Time), for that's the cheapest time to call the
net. Or it has to be on weekends.

Wait, wait, wait! What's going on?!?

1. I thought you wanted to use _telnet_ and not WWW.
2. I thought you didn't want to have too much lag. WWW-Chat is the
slowest chat I can think of. So, ...
3. We should either keep it to normal IRC (mIRC, ect.) or we should
use telnet, which is nuttin' else than using an ircII-client of
   some provider.

Experiment? That's no experiment -- it's just something already done
by thousands of people.

MET (1 hour before UK-time)

as said: MET-night-time

Voyager-NG on AmigaOS3.1 (Never done chat with this.)

If you want exchange of files, then you must use normal IRC. To send files
there is the so-called DCC command: "/dcc send <usernick> file"
and "/dcc get <usernick>".

My idea would be to let someone run an IRC-server on hers/his computer,
so there wouldn't be too much lag and no netsplit. I could do so, but
I don't think it's a good idea to let all the Americans come across the
sea ;) for the biggest part of MMD still is from USA, right?

If someone likes to chat with me, normally I'm to be found each day at
MET-night on server irc.uni-erlangen.de (thats the big EfNET!), on channel
#erlangen or on a more smaller server called afn.wwfin.net on channel #FEN
