located near the German/Czech border in Upper Austria.  From Prague it
is best reachable by car within 1-1/2 hour.   (If you visit the city of
Budweis anyway -- do not miss to pass over Krumlau -- it should be a
short trip to get there and further to Haslach).

And of course what Ingmar Krause wrote in 970812 MMDigest would be a
good idea :

Look at your map:  Vienna is almost half the way between Prague and
Budapest !
