Events Calendar
By Sam Harris

The Fair Organ Preservation Society has a wonderful web site which
contains all the festivals, meetings and rallies they know of. I am
interested in knowing if there is a site that lists events and rallies
in the US, or are there very many in the first place.

 [ Editor's Note:
 [
[ We've been talking about a "Frequently Asked Questions" list, with
[ answers, for the MMD for a long time now. Sam's question is a great
[ one, and deserves a Web page of its own on the MMD site. It will need
[ continual updating. I'm willing to provide the space, and some editing,
[ but we're going to need to get people to send in detailed articles
 [ about each event.
 [
[ In the meantime, I'd like to suggest Philippe Rouille's Musica Mechanica
[ Website as a good place to look:
 [
 [ http://www.cnam.fr/museum/musica_mecanica/a/actu/index.html
 [
[ Philippe has collected a long list of events all over the world.
 [
[ There's also MBSI's calendar of events, which can be accessed
 [ from their main page:
 [
[ http://www.mbsi.org (pick the "calendar" button)
 [
[ Although the Fair Organ Preservation Society seems not to list
[ any US rallies at this time, their Website's events page may
[ be of interest to some of our readers:
 [
 [ http://www.ndirect.co.uk/~fops/ceb_evt.htm
 [
[ I'm sure there are other resources on the Web. Please let
[ us know of them as you find them.
 [
 [ Thanks
 [ Jody
