Plans for Xylophone (Marimba)
By Andy LaTorre

Once again I have discovered a valuable article deep down in my files, in
Mecanix Illustrated (their spelling not mine -- cutesy, no? And then they
complain that our kids can't spell!).

Many years ago, in the 1950's, while I was in high school, this magazine
ran a how-to article on how to build a Marimba. It gives all the
dimensions for the bars, frame, and resonators, where to put the mounting
holes in the bars, what type of wood to use, etc.

I still have the article and am willing to Xerox it and sent it out,
but with one catch. I must have a business size SASE (SASE = Self
Addressed, Stamped Envelope: one 39-cent stamp for 1 ounce).

In my last offer for the Calliope plans I received many requests with
no SASE. So if you never received your plans then resubmit a request
with a SASE. I will be happy to send them to you.

Glad to be of help.
