Correction on Nimbus Duo-Art CDs
By Dan Wilson

Just to add a footnote to the discussion on the Nimbus series of Duo-Art
CDs, kicked off by Bill Wineburgh in MMD 970811, and Jim Edwards in MMD
970815.

Denis Hall has seen a transcript and would like me to say that he did not
hold a comparative seminar of Nimbus v. real Duo-Art as I said, but one
where "the few comparisons used were from elderly LPs long out of the
catalogue. ... The tenor of the session, which took place nearly a year
ago, was to try and demonstrate what can be achieved - not the reverse."

My apologies to him for making some lightning assumptions over a matter
only briefly mentioned to me.

Denis has not said, but on reflection I realise, that to compare any CDs
with actual pianos would be unfair, demanding a greater discrimination
than most critics could be expected to summon, at least in the first
instance.

[ I guess lightning deserves reflection ...! Nice apology, Dan.
