Musical Coins
By Sam Harris

>[ Sam, did you ever play the Musical Coins on a marble surface?
>[ That's fun, too ! -- Robbie

Is this a joke? If not I would be interested in knowing how it works.
I think I could figure it out. Have you played them?

Sam Harris

[ The coins are hard silver discs with 10 to 16 short radial points,
[ like a sheriff's badge gone crazy! The coin is held not-quite
[ level and dropped onto the marble surface with a slight spin. I
[ accompanied Renee Hall's vaudeville act years ago, which featured
[ the coins. (She was the wife of jazz trombonist Wilbur Hall, and
[ performed in English Music Hall in Britain in the twenties, backed
[ by two pint-sized banjo players! What a great lady she was.)
