A-sharp or B-flat

Interestingly, in the fair organ world, the pitch of a pipe is always
called the sharp not the flat, regardless of the actualities.  I don't
know why, it just is.  Perhaps someone could enlighten us.  This, of
course, goes against what Mike says about barrel organ scales.
